Kenworth Trucks, Inc. is an American-based truck manufacturer. Founded in 1923 as the successor company to Gerlinger Motors, Kenworth specializes in production of heavy-duty (Class 8) and medium-duty (Class 5-7) commercial vehicles. Headquartered in Seattle suburb Kirkland, Washington, Kenworth has been a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR since 1945, operating alongside sister company (and marketplace rival) Peterbilt Motors. Kenworth marked several firsts in truck production; alongside the first truck produced with a standard diesel-fuel engine, the company introduced a raised-roof sleeper cab, and the first heavy-duty truck with an aerodynamically-optimized body design.
An angry customer shared, "On October 25, 2017 I purchased a 2012 Kenworth T660 from Paccar Financial Used Truck Center in Spartanburg, SC. The dealership told me I would be picking up a truck with no issues. The truck has been nothing but issues since day of the purchase. They couldn't fix the issue with truck when picking up. The first day of work with this truck (11/1/17) the truck has been in the shop (MHC Kenworth) 6 times - missing 17 full days of work and some partial days of work. In 2.5 months of working with this truck I have lost $10,000 so far in missed work and repairs. The truck is currently back in shop now for a number of issues mainly being - losing power and check engine light. My wife called Paccar Financial Corporate explaining all the problems that were happening and explained that we were told by MHC Kenworth that there was no way all these issues just happened. Paccar corporate was no help. She called back a few weeks later and asked for Maintenance reports on truck - they said that they would have to dig them out and it could take a little bit. Few days later she received a voicemail (still has it) saying they do not have maintenance reports. Emailed the dealership in Spartanburg they wrote an email saying they don't have reports. We asked Kenworth if they had any information on that truck without telling them why and all they did was search by vin# and was able to get a multi page report of all issues. We have docs. showing truck was in shop almost monthly when the last owner owned it) From those documents we also have proof that truck sat for almost 2 years. I was told at time of purchase that truck did come off a lease. I put my trust in Paccar because they are a reputable company and the dealer explained to me they aren't some kind of side of road lot selling used trucks and wouldn't sell me something that wouldn't work, for me to be happy, recommend and to buy my next truck from them. I strongly believe Paccar sold me a truck with known issues just trying to get rid of it somehow."

I would think Hose Warehouse would want to be sure and take care of that themselves."
